This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the collection, use, disclosure, retention, and protection of personal information by JobsBloom, LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Georgia ("JobsBloom," "we," "us," or "our"), in connection with the website located at jobsbloom.com, any successor domains, and all related applications, application programming interfaces, mobile experiences, and career-recovery services (collectively, the "Services").
By accessing, browsing, registering an account, or otherwise using the Services, you ("you," "your," or "User") expressly acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Policy and our Terms of Service. If you do not agree, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services. This Policy is incorporated by reference into the Terms of Service.
2. Categories of Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Identifiers: full legal name, postal address, email address, telephone number, username, and government-issued identifiers where required for verification of recruiter or employer accounts.
- Professional or Employment Information: résumé and curriculum vitae content, employment history, educational credentials, professional licensures, salary expectations, layoff circumstances, and references.
- Protected Class Information (Voluntary): pronouns, gender identity, race or ethnicity, veteran status, and disability status, supplied solely at your discretion for diversity programming.
- Commercial Information: subscription plan, billing records, transaction history, and coaching package purchases.
- Internet or Network Activity: Internet Protocol (IP) address, device identifiers, browser type and version, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, search queries, and timestamps.
- Geolocation Data: approximate location derived from IP address; precise geolocation only with affirmative consent.
- Audio, Electronic, or Visual Information: voluntarily uploaded profile photographs, video introductions, and recorded interview-prep sessions.
- Inferences: derived attributes such as inferred career interests or coaching needs.
We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, financial account numbers (other than tokenized payment identifiers held by our payment processor), precise health information, or biometric identifiers.
3. Methods of Collection
We collect personal information (i) directly from you when you create an account, complete forms, communicate with us, or upload content; (ii) automatically through cookies, web beacons, pixels, software development kits, server logs, and analogous technologies; and (iii) from third-party sources including identity verification vendors, single sign-on providers (e.g., Google OAuth 2.0), payment processors, employer partners, and publicly available professional databases.
4. Purposes for Which Personal Information Is Used
Personal information is processed for the following enumerated purposes:
- To create, authenticate, secure, and administer User accounts;
- To deliver, personalize, and improve the Services and related features such as job-matching, coaching, community circles, and resume review;
- To process subscriptions, payments, refunds, and chargebacks;
- To facilitate communications with recruiters, mentors, coaches, and other Users in accordance with your privacy settings;
- To deliver transactional, administrative, and, where permitted, promotional communications;
- To conduct research, analytics, and product development, including aggregated and de-identified analyses;
- To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our Terms of Service;
- To comply with legal obligations, court orders, subpoenas, and regulatory requests; and
- For any other purpose disclosed to you at the point of collection or with your consent.
5. Legal Bases for Processing
We process personal information under the following legal bases: (a) the performance of a contract to which you are a party; (b) compliance with a legal obligation to which we are subject under federal or Georgia law; (c) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Services, provided such interests are not overridden by your fundamental rights; and (d) your freely given, specific, informed, and unambiguous consent, which may be withdrawn at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
6. Disclosure of Personal Information
We disclose personal information only to the following categories of recipients:
- Service Providers: hosting, database, authentication, payment, analytics, email delivery, and customer-support vendors bound by written contracts requiring confidentiality and prohibiting secondary use.
- Employers and Recruiters: only in accordance with your profile visibility settings and only after the recruiter has been vetted pursuant to our verification process.
- Other Members: within community circles, mentor sessions, and discussion forums to the extent you elect to participate.
- Legal and Regulatory Authorities: when required by valid legal process, including subpoenas issued under the Georgia Civil Practice Act (O.C.G.A. § 9-11-45) or federal law.
- Corporate Transactions: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.
8. Your Rights
Subject to verification of your identity and to applicable legal exemptions, you may exercise the following rights with respect to your personal information:
- The right to access and obtain a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
- The right to request correction of inaccurate or incomplete information;
- The right to request deletion, subject to legal retention obligations;
- The right to opt out of targeted advertising and certain profiling activities;
- The right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- The right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Attorney General of Georgia or a competent supervisory authority; and
- The right to designate an authorized agent to act on your behalf.

9. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, any individual under the age of sixteen (16). Consistent with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506 ("COPPA"), if we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under thirteen (13) without verifiable parental consent, we will promptly delete such information. 10. Information Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction, including encryption in transit via Transport Layer Security (TLS), encryption at rest for sensitive fields, role-based access controls, row-level security policies in our databases, audit logging, and periodic vulnerability assessments. No system is impenetrable, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a breach of "personal information" as defined by O.C.G.A. § 10-1-911, we will provide notice in the manner and within the timeframes required by O.C.G.A. § 10-1-912 and applicable federal law.
11. Retention
We retain personal information for as long as your account remains active and for such additional period as is necessary to satisfy our legal, tax, accounting, and dispute resolution obligations. Inactive accounts may be deleted after twenty-four (24) consecutive months of inactivity upon thirty (30) days' written notice. De-identified and aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.
12. International Data Transfers
The Services are operated from the United States. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you acknowledge that your personal information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may not afford the same level of data protection as your jurisdiction of residence.
13. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites, applications, and services that are not owned or controlled by JobsBloom. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of any third party, and we encourage you to review the privacy policies of every third party before providing personal information.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may amend this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced via in-product notice, email, or a prominent banner not less than ten (10) days prior to taking effect, and the Effective Date above will be updated. Your continued use of the Services after such notice constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
15. Governing Law and Contact
This Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Georgia and applicable federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under this Policy shall be resolved as set forth in our Terms of Service.
